2,6-diamino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-benzothiazole, which is useful for making pramipexole, is made by: (i) reacting bromine with a solution of 4-acetamido- cyclohexanone in water to produce 2-bromo-4-acetamido-cyclohexanone; (ii) after step (i), adding thiourea to produce 6-acetyl amino- 2-amino-4,5,6,7- tetrahydro-benzthiazole; (iii) after step (ii), adding an aqueous solution of hydrobromic acid to produce 2,6-diamino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-benzthiazole dihydrobromide; and (iv) after step (iii), isolating 2,6-diamino-4,5,6,7 - tetrahydro-benzthiazole.

L'invention concerne la production de 2,6-diamino-4,5,6,7-tétrahydro-benzothiazole utile à la production de pramipexole consistant : (i) à faire réagir du brome avec une solution de 4-acétamido-cyclohexanone dans de l'eau pour produire 2-bromo-4-acétamido-cyclohexanone; (ii) après l'étape (i), à ajouter de la thiourée pour produire 6-acétyle amino-2-amino-4,5,6,7-tétrahydro-benzthiazole; (iii) après l'étape (ii), à ajouter une solution aqueuse d'acide bromhydrique pour produire 2,6-diamino-4,5,6,7-tétrahydro-benzthiazole dihydrobromure; et (iv) après l'étape (iii), à isoler 2,6-diamino-4,5,6,7-tétrahydro-benzthiazole.
