Process for preparing 2-¢2-!4-!(4-chlorophenyl)-phenylmethyl!-1-piperazinyl¢ethoxy!-acetic acid, in which the 1-!(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl!-piperazine is made to react with 2-chloroethoxyacetic acid in the presence of an acid scavenger in an inert solvent. Where applicable, the 2-¢2-!4-!(4-chlorophenyl)-phenylmethyl!-1-piperazinyl¢ethoxy!-acetic acid is transformed into one of its salts.

Procédé de préparation de l'acide 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophényl)- phénylméthyl]-1-pipérazinyl]éthoxy]-acétique dans lequel on fait réagir la 1-[(4-chlorophényl)phénylméthyl]-pipérazine avec l'acide 2-chloroéthoxyacétique, en présence d'un accepteur d'acide, dans un solvant inerte. Le cas échéant, l'acide 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophényl)- phénylméthyl]-1-pipérazinyl]éthoxy]-acétique est transformé en l'un de ses sels.
