Process for preparing a moulded elastomeric polyurethane material having an overall density of 200 - 1000 kg/m3 and preferably of 200 - 500 kg/m3 and a compression load at 40 % deflection of at least 25 kPa by reacting in a closed mould an isocyanate terminated prepolymer, having an NCO-value of 5 - 15% by weight and which is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a polyether polyol having an average nominal functionality of 2-6, an average equivalent weight of 500 - 5000 and an oxyethylene content of 50 - 90 % by weight, and water. The elastomer obtained is claimed as well.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour préparer une matière polyuréthane élastomère moulée ayant une densité globale de 200 - 1000 kg/m?3¿ et de préférence de 200 - 500 kg/m?3¿ et une charge de compression à 40 % de déflexion d'au moins 25 kPa, par réaction dans un moule fermé d'un prépolymère à terminaison isocyanate, qui a une valeur NCO de 5 - 15 % en poids et est un produit réactionnel d'un polyisocyanate et d'un polyéther polyol ayant une fonctionnalité nominale moyenne de 2-6, un poids équivalent moyen de 500 - 5000 et une teneur en oxyéthylène de 50 - 90 % en poids, et de l'eau. L'invention a également pour objet l'élastomère ainsi obtenu.
