PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation d'un nouveau dérivé du 1.alpha.,25-dihydroxy cholécal- ciférol à savoir le monohydrate du 1.alpha.,25-dihydroxy cholécal- ciférol, à partir du 1.alpha.,25-dihydroxy cholécalciférol ou d'un solvate. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on dissout le 1.alpha.,25-dihydroxy cholécalciférol, ou l'un de ses solvates, dans un solvant approprié, ajoute de l'eau à la solution obtenue et obtient ainsi le produit de l'invention sous forme cristalline. Le produit obtenu présente de remarquables propriétés vitaminiques.
