PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de la 9.alpha., 11.beta.-dichloro 16.alpha.-méthyl 21-oxycarboxyldicyclohexylméthyl oxy pregna 1,4-diène 3,20-dione, caractérisé en ce que l'on fait réagir la 9.alpha., ll.beta.-dichloro 16.alpha.-méthyl 21-hydroxy pregna 1,4-diène 3,20-dione, avec un composé de formule (A) : Image (A) dans laquelle X représente un atome d'halogène et obtient ainsi le composé recherché. La 9.alpha., 11.beta.-dichloro 16.alpha.-méthyl 21-oxycarbonyldicyclohexylméthyl oxy pregna 1,4-diène 3,20- dione est douée d'activité anti-inflammatoire "in loco" sur- prenante, limitée au lieu de l'inflammation où il a été admi- nistré, le produit étant dénué d'effets systémiques.
