The invention provides a method for preparing a support apparatus comprising a gel layer (50) and a second layer (60), such as a foam layer, in particular, the invention provides a method for preparing a mattress, said method generally comprising preparing a gel layer and affixing the gel layer to a second layer whereby in certain embodiments, where a foam layer is used as the second layer, the foam layer may have a surface having a cavity formed therein for receiving the gel layer.

l'invention concerne un procédé permettant de préparer un appareil de support comprenant une couche de gel (50) et une seconde couche (60) comme une couche de mousse ; en particulier, l'invention concerne un procédé permettant de préparer un matelas, ledit procédé comprenant d'une manière générale la préparation d'une couche de gel et la fixation de la couche de gel à une seconde couche par laquelle, dans certains modes de réalisation où un couche de mousse est utilisée comme seconde couche, la couche de mousse peut avoir une surface présentant une cavité pour recevoir la couche de gel.
