Abstract Process for Purifying Annexines The process comprises the steps of a) adjusting the pH value of homogenised cellular material to 8.0 to 10.0; b) adding at least one bivalent cation selected from Ca2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Mn2+ and Co2+; c) adding a phospholipid; d) washing insoluble cell residue to remove soluble constituents; and e) extracting annexines from the cell residue using chelating agents. Overall yields of annexines are raised to more than 80%.
