The present invention relates to a process for forming polymer conjugates which are useful as enzyme inhibitors. The process of the present invention comprises the steps of:a) reacting a polymer or copolymer having the formula (1) wherein R is a hydrocarbyl moiety, a polyalkyleneoxy moiety, or a heteroatom comprising hydrocarbyl moiety, said polymer or copolymer having a molecular weight of from about 500 daltons, with phosgene to form a chloroformate having the formula (2); b) combining a substituted or unsubstituted anthranilic acid having the formula (3) wherein each R1 unit is an enzyme interaction attenuating unit; and a base catalyst wherein said base catalyst is a supported base catalyst, to form a substrate reactive admixture; and c) adding to said chloroformate formed in step (a) said substrate reactive admixture formed in step (b) to form a benzoxazin-4-one conjugate having the formula (4).
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de former des conjugués polymères utiles en tant qu'inhibiteurs d'enzymes. Ce procédé consiste : a) à faire réagir un polymère ou copolymère représenté par la formule (1) dans laquelle R représente une fraction hydrocarbyle, une fraction polyalkylèneoxy ou un hétéroatome comprenant une fraction hydrocarbyle, ledit polymère ou copolymère présentant un poids moléculaire d'environ 500 daltons, avec du phosgène afin d'obtenir du chloroformiate représenté par la formule (2); b) à combiner un acide anthranilique substitué ou non substitué représenté par la formule (3), dans laquelle chaque unité R1 représente une unité atténuant l'interaction entre enzymes, à un catalyseur basique, ledit catalyseur basique étant un catalyseur basique supporté, afin d'obtenir un mélange réactif de substrat; et c) à ajouter audit chloroformiate obtenu dans l'étape (a) ledit mélange réactif de substrat obtenu dans l'étape (b) afin d'obtenir un conjugués à base benzoxazin-4-one représenté par la formule (4).
