The present invention relates to a novel process for preparing compounds of formula (IA), which are potent and specific antagonists of corticotropin- releasing factor (CRF) receptors, from intermediate compounds of formula (I), by a coupling reaction catalysed by copper, formulae (I) (Ia) wherein X is halogen; and the other substituents are as defined in the description.

L'invention porte sur un nouveau procédé de préparation de composés de formule (IA), antagonistes puissants et spécifiques des récepteurs de la corticolibérine (CRF), à partir de composés intermédiaires de formule (I), et par une réaction (Ia) de couplage catalysée par le cuivre dans laquelle: R est aryle ou hétéroaryle, facultativement substitués par 1 à 4 groupes sélectionnés parmi: halogène, C1-C6 alkyle, C1-C6 alkoxy, halo C1-C6 alkyle, C2-C6 alcényle, C2-C6 alkynyle, halo C1-C6 alkoxy, C(O)R5, nitro, -NR6R7, cyano, et un groupe R8; R1 est hydrogène, C1-C6 alkyle, C2-C6 alcényle, C2-C6 alkynyle, halo C1-C6 alkyle, halo C1-C6 alkoxy, halogène, NR6R7 ou cyano; R5 est un C1-C4 alkyle, -OR6 ou -NR6R7; R6 est hydrogène ou C1-C6 alkyle; R7 est hydrogène ou C1-C6 alkyle; R8 est un hétérocycle à 5-6 éléments pouvant être saturé ou contenir de une à trois liaisons doubles, et facultativement substitué par un ou plusieurs groupes R11; R9 est un C1-C6 alkyle facultativement substitué par un ou plusieurs groupes sélectionnés parmi: C3-C7 cycloalkyle, C1-C6 alkoxy, halo C1-C6 alkoxy, hydroxy, halo C1-C6 alkyle; R11 est C3-C7 cycloalkyle, C1-C6 alkyle, C1-C6 alkoxy, halo C1-C6 alkyle, C2-C6 alcényle, C2-C6 alkynyle, halo C1-C6 alkoxy, hydroxy, halogène, nitro, cyano, ou C(O)NR6R7; X est halogène; et R'' correspond à R; R''1 correspond à R1; R2 est hydrogène, C3-C7 cycloalkyle, ou un groupe R9; R3 est C3-C7 cycloalkyle, ou un groupe R9; ou bien R2 et R3 forment avec N un hétérocycle à 5-14 éléments, facultativement substitué par 1 à 3 groupes R10; R''4 est hydrogène; R''5 correspond à R5; R''6 correspond à R6; R''7 correspond à R7; R''8 correspond à R8; R''9 correspond à R9; R10 est un groupe R8, C3-C7 cycloalkyle, C1-C6 alkyle, C1-C6 alkoxy, halo C1-C6 alkyle, C2-C6 alcényle, C2-C6 alkynyle, halo C1-C6 alkoxy, hydroxy, halogène, nitro, cyano, C(O)NR6R7, phényle facultativement substitué par 1 à 4 R11 groupes; R''11 correspond à R11.
