ABSTRACT This invention consists of a process for preparing bifunctional aliphatic organic compounds of at least 6 carbon atoms, wherein a cycloaliphatic oxyhydroperoxide is reacted with an alpha-olefine having its double bond acti- vated by a conjugate electron-attracting group, in the presence of a bivalent Cr salt, a bivalent V salt or a tri- valent Ti salt.
