A process is provided for preparing a bis(silylorgano)amine in which a cyanoorganosilane is reacted with hydrogen under hydrogenation conditions in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of hydrogenation catalyst selected from the group consisting of rhodium, ruthenium, palladium and platinum to produce the secondary aminoorganosilane.

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation d'une bis(silylorgano)-amine selon lequel on fait réagir un cyano-organosilane avec de l'hydrogène dans des conditions d'hydrogénation en présence d'une quantité catalytiquement efficace d'un catalyseur d'hydrogénation sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par le rhodium, le ruthénium, le palladium et le platine de manière à produire l'amino-organosilane secondaire.
