Title of the Invention: Process for Preparing Blast Furnace Cokes Abstract of the Disclosure: A process for preparing blast furnace cokes which comprises steps of adding a desired binder to a coal making briquettes which consists of a substantially low- coal, such as non-and/or poorly-coking coal alone or a blend of about 40% or more of said low-grade coal and a charging coal: mixing; briquetting in a roll press to form briquettes of two or more shapes; preparing a blended charg- ing coal by blending the resulting briquettes of different shapes to a charging coal in a total amount of about 35% or more of said briquettes based on said charging coal; and about carbonizing said blended charging coal in a coke oven, whereby permitted to blend a large amount of the low-grade coal. - 1 -
