ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a process for preparing a raw cement mixture with the use of a calcium-orthosilicate slime resulting from a complex processing of a high-silica aluminous raw material containing at least 20% by weight of silica to alumina, soda, potash and cement as well as with the use of a calcium-containing component and, when requir- ed, purpose additives. The process comprises a repeated washing of said calcium-orthosilicate slime with water al- ternating with separation of the slime from the washing wat- er, followed by grinding of the slime. Between two any al- ternating operations of washing and separation of the slime from the washing water a preliminary grinding of the slime is effected. Said preliminary and/or repeated grinding of the slime is effected simultaneously with mixing of said slime with said calcium-containing component and, when re- quired, with said purpose additives. The process makes it possible to reduce the residual content of alkalis in the slime to 1-2% by weight and that of alumina - to 1.5-2.8% by weight. It also eliminates thickening and setting of the slime and cement raw mixture upon transportation and stor- age thereof. Mechanical strength of cement produced from the thus-prepared raw mixture is increased by 15-25%. The yield of alumina (in the production of alumina) is increased by 0.5-3%; the total yield of soda and potash (in the soda -potash manufacture) is increased by 0.5-2.5.
