One subject of the present invention is a process for preparing a composition based on a synthetic polymer comprising: the introduction, into a reactor containing a softened or molten synthetic polymer (component 1), of a non-plasticized starchy component (component 2) and of a plasticizer of the latter (component 3); and the kneading of the mixture obtained under conditions sufficient to obtain the plasticization of the starchy component (component 2) by the plasticizer (component 3) and a homogeneous mixture of the synthetic polymer and of the plasticized starchy component. The reactor may especially be a co-rotating or counter-rotating single-screw or twin-screw extruder, for example a co-rotating twin-screw extruder. The synthetic polymer may advantageously be chosen from the group comprising polyethylenes (PE) and polypropylenes (PP), which are functionalized or unfunctionalized, polyamides (PA), thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU), styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS) copolymers, preferably that are functionalized, amorphous polyethylene terephthalates (PETG) and blends thereof. The resulting compositions have improved characteristics, especially in terms of coloration and of mechanical properties, for example in terms of elongation at break.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation d'une composition à base de polymère synthétique comprenant : l'introduction, dans un réacteur contenant un polymère synthétique (composant 1) ramolli ou fondu, d'un composant amylacé non plastifié (composant 2) et d'un agent plastifiant de celui-ci (composant 3); et le malaxage du mélange obtenu dans des conditions suffisantes pour obtenir la plastification du composant amylacé (composant 2) par l'agent plastifiant (composant 3) et un mélange homogène du polymère synthétique et du composant amylacé plastifié. Le réacteur peut notamment être une extrudeuse, à simple vis ou double vis, à co-rotation ou contre- rotation, par exemple une extrudeuse à double vis et à co-rotation. Le polymère synthétique peut avantageusement être choisi dans le groupe comprenant les polyéthylènes (PE) et polypropylènes (PP), fonctionnalisés et non fonctionnalisés, les polyamides (PA), les polyuréthanes thermoplastiques (TPU), les copolymères styrène-éthylène-butylène-styrène (SEBS), de préférence fonctionnalisés, les poly (téréphtalate d'éthylène) amorphes (PETG) et les mélanges de ceux-ci. Les compositions résultantes présentent des caractéristiques améliorées, notamment en termes de coloration et de propriétés mécaniques, par exemple en termes d'allongement à la rupture.
