There is provided by the present invention a process for preparing a copper-based catalyst having good catalytic activity, markedly excellent durability and good reproducibility. The process for preparing a copper-based catalyst of the invention is a process for preparing a catalyst composed of metal oxides containing copper oxide as an essential component and is characterized by comprising the following steps: (1) a step of bringing an acidic metal salt solution containing copper and a precipitant solution into contact with each other to obtain a slurry solution containing a precipitate of a catalyst precursor, and (2) a step of continuously bringing the slurry solution and a wash liquid into contact with each other to wash the precipitate, with substantially keeping the suspended state.

L'invention propose un procédé de fabrication d'un catalyseur à base de cuivre présentant une bonne activité catalytique, une bonne reproductibilité et une remarquable durabilité. Il s'agit d'un procédé de fabrication d'un catalyseur composé d'oxydes métalliques dont le composant essentiel est l'oxyde de cuivre. Le procédé de fabrication du catalyseur se caractérise en ce qu'il comprend les deux étapes suivantes : 1) une étape dans laquelle on met en contact une solution acide de sels métalliques, comprenant du cuivre, avec une solution d'agent de précipitation afin d'obtenir une solution pâteuse contenant un précipité de précurseur de catalyseur. 2) une étape dans laquelle on met progressivement en contact la solution pâteuse et une solution de lavage, et dans laquelle, tout en préservant en substance l'état de suspension, on effectue un lavage du précipité.
