2150/US-3130 ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE Crosslinking components for cationic paint binders wherein substituted ureas obtained by reacting beta-hydroxy- amines with isocyanate compounds are converted into biuret compounds by further reaction with isocyanates. The cross- linking components thus obtained, when combined with base resins containing hydroxyl groups and/or primary or secon- dary amino groups, yield films having an increased hardening capacity and greater resistance to stone chipping.
