A process for preparing lipids which contain docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and/or docosapentaenoic acid (DPA) is disclosed. The process includes the steps of cultivating in a medium a microorganism which belongs to the genus Ulkenia having the ability to produce DHA and/or DPA and recovering the lipids from the culture. The process may further include the step of separating DHA and/or DPA from the lipids.
Cette invention concerne un procédé de préparation de lipides contenant de l'acide docosahexanoïque (DHA) et/ou de l'acide docosapentanoïque (DPA). Ledit procédé consiste à cultiver dans un support de culture un micro-organisme appartenant au genre Ulkenia doté de la capacité de production de DHA et/ou de DPA, puis à récupérer les lipides de la culture. Ce procédé peut consister en outre à séparer les acides DHA et/ou DPA desdits lipides.
