ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for preparing fluoroethylenes and chlorofluoroethy- lenes starting from chlorofluoroethanes and hydrogen, carried out in gas phase at a temperature ranging from 150° to 600°C, in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, wherein the chlorofluoroetha nes have at least one chlorine atom on each carbon atom, and the catalyst is selected preferably from palladium, nickel, chromium, cobalt, platinum, copper and mixtures thereof, and it is utilized either as such or inert materials.
