The present invention relates to a PE tarpaulin prepared by coating low- density polyethylene on both surfaces of a cloth woven by using drawn yarns (flat yarns) having higher fiber strength than a general PE tarpaulin by appropriately mixing high density polyethylene and polypropylene, and a process for preparing the same. The PE tarpaulin shows higher mechanical strength than general PE tarpaulin.

L'invention concerne une bâche en polyéthylène obtenue par revêtement des deux faces d'un tissu toilé avec du polyéthylène basse densité, à l'aide de fils étirés (fils plats) dont la résistance des fibres est supérieure à une bâche en PE commune, par mélange approprié de polyéthylène haute densité et de polyéthylène. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de produire ladite bâche. Cette bâche en PE présente une meilleure résistance mécanique que la bâche en PE commune.
