K 6952 A B S T R A C T Process for preparing liquid hydrocarbons. Coal is gasified at 1050 to 2000°C. The synthesis gas produced is catalytically converted to an aromatic hydrocarbon mixture which is separated into an aromatic liquid fraction and an isobutane fraction. The isobutane fraction is alkylated. The alkylate is mixed with the aromatic liquid fraction.
