ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described a process for fabricating high strength, improved formability, low earing aluminum strip stock from hot rolled aluminum strip. According to this process, the hot rolled strip is cold rolled in a first series of passes to an intermediate gauge. Then, it is flash annealed for not more than 90 seconds at a temperature of from about 350°C to 500°C. Finally, the flash annealed strip is cold rolled in a second series of passes to final gauge.
