ABSTRACT The invention relates to a process for preparing N-substituted acrylamides and methacrylamides which com- prises reacting acrylamide or methacrylamide, as the case may be, with an amine reactant, decomposing the formed reaction product, and separating out and removing the formed N-substituted acrylamides or methacrylamides by dis- tillation means.
