PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention a pour objet de nouvelles phényl urées substituées choisies dans le groupe constitué par: - la N-méthyl N-isopropyl thio N'-phényl urée, - la N-méthyl N-(2-chloro éthyl thio) N'-(3,4-dichloro phényl) urée, - la N-méthyl N-n-butyl thio N'-(4-isopropyl phényl) uree, - la N-méthyl N-isopropyl thio N'-(4-isopropyl phényl) urée, - la N-méthyl N-isopropyl thio N'-(3,4-diméthyl phényl) urée, - et la N-méthyl N-n-butyl thio N'-(3,4-diméthyl phényl) uree. Les nouveaux composes selon l'invention possèdent des propriétés herbicides et, du fait de leurs faibles activités sur les graminées, permettent un traitement sélectif des céréales.
