ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is provided for preparing oxime-containing silicon com- pounds. The process comprises reacting an oxime with a silicon compound having at least three nitrogen atoms linked to the same silicon atom through Si-N bonding per molecule. The reaction proceeds at a rapid rate and excellent yields of desired products are obtained in the absence of expensive acid acceptors. The compounds so formed may be used as cross- linking agents in the preparation of compositions which can be stored under anhydrous conditions but which cure to elastomers when exposed to water at room temperatures.
