L'invention vise un procédé pour l'obtention de résines polyamidoamine-épichlorhydrine à teneur en dichloro-1, 3-propanol-2 indécelable par les moyens ordinaires de chromatographie en phase vapeur. Ce procédé consiste à faire passer les produits résultant de la condensation de polyamidoamines et d'épichlorhydrine successivement sur deux colonnes de charbon actif. On obtient ainsi des résines aqueuses sans produits toxiques, particulièrement appréciées come additifs de résistance humide dans la fabrication de papiers utilisation médicale, cosmétique ou à contact alimentaire.
