The present invention provides a novel process for the preparation of bacosides enriched fraction in a non-hygroscopic form the extract of Bacopa monniera, the said process comprising the steps of drying freshly harvested herb in a hot air oven at 37-42~C, powdering and sieving the dried herb to obtain powder of 30-40 mesh size, defatting the powdered herb with hexane in a modified soxhlet extractor, extracting the defatted powdered herb with acetone, again extracting the same herb with methanol to obtain an extract containing bacosides, concentrating the extract to one twentieth of its original volume under reduced pressure, gradually adding the concentrated extract to acetone for precipitating the bacosides, filtering the bacosides in a Nutsche type vacuum filter, dissolving the crude bacoside mass into 2-10 parts water, extracting the bacoside solution with n-butanol to selectively transfer the bacosides to the solvent phase, separating and concentrating the solvent phase under vacuum to obtain semi-dry mass, dissolving the semi dried mass into 2-10 parts water, adding and stirring 1-5% of b-cyclodextrin to stabilize the bacosides, spray drying the stabilized bacoside solution by maintaining hot air temperature at 90-110~C, to obtain a stable free flowing fraction of Bacopa monniera rich in bacosides.
L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé permettant la préparation d'une fraction enrichie en bacosides, sous une forme non hygroscopique, à partir d'un extrait de Bacopa monniera, les étapes dudit procédé consistant à sécher les herbes fraîchement récoltées dans un four à air chaud à 37-42 ·C, à réduire les herbes séchées en poudre et à les tamiser afin d'obtenir une poudre d'un calibre de 30-40, à dégraisser cette poudre d'herbes au moyen d'hexane dans un extracteur de Soxhlet modifié, à soumettre ces herbes dégraissées à une extraction à l'acétone, à procéder à une nouvelle extraction des même herbes à l'aide de méthanol, afin d'obtenir un extrait contenant des bacosides, à concentrer cet extrait à un vingtième de son volume d'origine, sous pression réduite, à ajouter progressivement cet extrait concentré à de l'acétone afin de précipiter les bacosides, à filtrer les bacosides dans un filtre à vide de type Nutsche, à dissoudre la masse brute de bacosides dans 2-10 parts d'eau, à extraire la solution de bacosides avec du n-butanol afin de transférer sélectivement las bacosides dans la phase solvant, à séparer et à concentrer cette phase solvant sous vide afin d'obtenir une masse semi-sèche, à dissoudre cette masse semi-sèche dans 2-10 parts d'eau, à ajouter 1-5 % de .beta.-cyclodextrine afin de stabiliser les bacosides, et à sécher par atomisation la solution de bacosides stabilisée au moyen d'air chaud maintenu à une température de 90-110 ·C afin d'obtenir une fraction fluide et stable de Bacopa monniera riche en bacosides.
