ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Thermally stable olefinic polymers are obtained by addition, during polymerization, of compounds of monomeric or oligomeric type, containing in the molecule one or more steric hindered piperidinic groups having the formula: Image wherein R1, R2 is C1-C4 alkyl radicals, or rings of tetramethyl= piperidine or, together they form, with the piperidinic carbon atom they are bound to, a C5-C10 cycloalkylic group. R3, R4 is C1-C18 alkyl groups or, together, they form, with the carbon atom they are bound to, a C5-C10 cycloalkylic group. R5, R9 and Z = H or an organic radical, preferably a C1-C18 alkyl, C3-C12 alkenyl, C7-C18 aralkyl radical.
