NOVEL PROCESS FOR PREPARING THIAZOLE DERIVATIVES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel process for preparing thiazole derivatives of the formula I: Image I wherein A is oxygen, sulfur, imino, alkylimino or alkenyl- imino; and R' is alkyl, phenyl, or substituted phenyl which consists of (1) a reaction of 1-alkoxy-2-halogenoethyl isothicyanate with a compound of the formula III: R'AH where- in A and R' each has the same meaning as defined above and (2) an alcohol-elimination reaction of the thiazoline derivative yielded in the above step (1).
