PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de tris(éther-amines) de formule: N ? A - O ? B - O)n - R]3 où R représente un radical hydrocarboné, A et B représentent des radicaux alcanediyles et n un nombre entier compris entre 0 et 4, par ammonlyse d'un monoéther d'alkylène glycol de formule: Image en présente de 10 à 40 % en poids d'un catalyseur d'hyddogénation- déshydrogénation par rapport au poids de monoéther d'alkylène glycol. L'invention a également pour objet les tris(éther-amines) ainsi obtenues, telles que la tris(dioxa-3,6 octyl)amine, la tris(trioxa-3,6,9 undécyl)aminr, la tris(dioxa-3,6 heptyl)amine, la tris(dioxa-3,6 décyl)amine, qui peuvent être utilisées comme agents séquestrants pour solubiliser des sels métalliques dans des sol- vants organiques dans lesquels ils ne sont pas solubles, ou encore comme émulsifiants.
