Process for the preparation of urea, in which the gas stream which is released during the synthesis of melamine and is composed essentially of ammonia and carbon dioxide is used to synthesize urea, in which process the gas stream which originates from a high-pressure melamine process and is composed essentially of ammonia and carbon dioxide is condensed at a pressure virtually equal to the pressure in the melamine reactor, in which process substantially anhydrous ammonium carbamate is formed, after which said ammonium carbamate is fed to a high-pressure section of a urea stripping plant.

Procédé de préparation d'urée dans lequel le courant de gaz qui est dégagé pendant la synthèse de la mélamine et qui se compose essentiellement d'ammoniac et de dioxyde de carbone est utilisé pour la synthèse de l'urée. Le courant de gaz provenant du procédé de traitement de la mélamine et qui se compose essentiellement d'ammoniac et de dioxyde de carbone est condensé à une pression sensiblement égale à la pression présente dans le réacteur de mélamine, du carbamate d'ammonium anhydre étant formé après quoi ledit carbamate d'ammonium est envoyé à une section haute pression d'une installation d'extraction d'urée.
