PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Procédé de production d'hydrocarbures aromatiques de haute pureté à partir d'essences insaturées ou non, en présence d'hydrogène et d'un catalyseur, à une température comprise entre environ 400 et 600°C, sous une pression comprise entre 1 et 60 kg/cm2, avec un débit volumétrique horaire de charge liquide, de l'ordre de 0,1 à 10 fois le volume du catalyseur. Ce procé- dé est caractérisé en ce que l'on utilise un catalyseur renfer- mant (a) de l'alumine, (b) 0,01 à 5 % de platine, en poids par rapport à l'alumine, (c) 0,001 à 1%, en poids par rapport à l'alumine, d'au moins un métal choisi dans le groupe constitué par l'irridium, le rhodium et le palladium, (d) 0,0001 à 0,05% en poids par rapport à l'alumine, d'au moins un métal choisi dans le groupe constitué par le cuivre, l'argent et l'or.
