ABSTRACT Wood or products derived therefrom substantially uninfested with wood destroying fungi are preserved by treatment with an aqueous system of 0.01 - 0.4% of a triorganotin compound and a monoquarternary ammonium compound in amount sufficient to disperse the former, the treatment producing a loading of 0.15 - 1.5 kg of organotin per cubic metre of wood or product therefrom.
