The present invention relates to an aqueous ink composition for the ink-jet printing method, which comprises a) metallic or non-metallic, inorganic platelet-shaped particles having an average particle diameter of at least 2 ~m, b) a dispersant (dispersing agent) and c) a binder. The ink compositions according to the invention are able to yield prints having a metallic appearance or prints having a colour that changes according to the viewing angle ("flop effect").

La présente invention concerne une composition d'encre aqueuse pour le procédé d'impression à jet d'encre, laquelle composition contient a) des particules inorganiques en forme de plaquettes, métalliques ou non métalliques, présentant un diamètre moyen d'au moins 2 µm, b) un dispersant (agent dispersant) et c) un liant. Les compositions d'encre de cette invention permettent d'obtenir des impressions ayant une apparence métallique ou des impressions présentant une couleur qui varie selon l'angle de vue (effet double ton).
