A process for producing a 1,3,2- dioxaborinane compound of the general formula (I) in which each R individually is selected from the group consisting of H and C1-6-alkyl, by reacting a diol of the general formula (II) HO--CRR-CRR-CRR-OH with diborane is performed without using a solvent.

Linvention concerne un procédé de production dun composé de 1,3,2-dioxaborinane de la formule générale (I) dans laquelle chaque R est choisi individuellement parmi le groupe constitué dun atome H et dun groupe alkyle de C1 à C6, en faisant réagir un diol de la formule générale (II) HO-CRR-CRR-CRR-OH avec un diborane sans utiliser un solvant.
