ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The production of 2-alkoxy-4,6-dichloro-s-triazines by means of the conventional reaction of cyanuric chloride with alcohols in the presence of an acid-binding agent but in such a manner that high mixing rates and thus high reaction rates are used and that large throughputs in small tubular vessels can be obtained by injecting liquid cyanuric chloride through a nozzle, which is disposed in the upper end of a mixing device, in a countercurrent to the reactant (+ the acid-binding agent) rising upwards from a nozzle or nozzles. The nozzle or nozzles for the reactants are disposed above a breast-like taper in the lower open end of the device. The process can be carried out at stan- dard pressure and at excess pressure or negative gauge pressure.
