The invention relates to a method for production of a support material with at least one covered identification mark (3), applied to at least one surface region of the support material and then covered. The invention further relates to objects comprising said support material and the use thereof for the analysis of the identification mark(s) (3). By means of the above method, a support material is provided with covered identification marks (3) the use of which is manifold, in particular, when the original condition of goods is to be determined. The identification mark (3) is not necessarily visible to the user, such as to avoid unnecessary tampering, and furthermore faced with a conventional decor, namely an embossed pattern. When required, for example, on customs control, the identification mark (3) can be simply exposed by removal of the embossing such that an analysis of the packed material can be carried out with regards to the originality thereof.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un support pourvu d'au moins un signe d'identification masqué (3), lequel signe est appliqué dans au moins une zone de surface du support puis masqué. Cette invention concerne également des objets présentant ce support ainsi que leur utilisation pour analyser ledit (lesdits) signe(s) d'identification (3). Le procédé selon l'invention permet d'obtenir un support à signe d'identification masqué (3) offrant un large domaine d'application et pouvant, en particulier, être utilisé pour vérifier l'authenticité de certaines marchandises. Il n'est pas obligatoire que ce signe d'identification (3) soit visible par le consommateur, de sorte que ce dernier n'est pas alarmé inutilement, mais plutôt confronté à un décor habituel, à savoir un motif embouti. Toutefois, en cas de besoin, par exemple lors de contrôles douaniers, ce signe d'identification (3) peut être rendu visible de manière simple par élimination du motif embouti, de sorte que l'authenticité du produit emballé peut être analysée.
