The present invention provides a process for producing a molded foam article of a crystalline aromatic polyester resin. The process is characterized by heating the surface temperature of a mold for cavity-molding to the temperature within a range of from (Tg + 35) to (Tg + 57)° C (Tg is a glass transition temperature of the crystalline aromatic polyester resin prepuffs), thereby to mold prepuffs, and cooling the surface of the mold to a temperature not lowered than Tg for at least 20 seconds.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de produit moussé dans le moule. Ce procédé comporte une opération de chauffage permettant de porter la surface d'un moule de moussage à une température comprise entre (Tg+35) DEG C à (Tg+57) DEG C, Tg représentant la température de transition vitreuse de particules pré-moussées de résine de polyester aromatique chargées dans le moule, et ce, de façon à faire descendre lentement la surface du moule de moussage jusqu'à une température restant supérieure à Tg pendant une période d'au moins 20 secondes tout en conservant en l'état le produit moussé dans le moule. Ce procédé convient à la production de produits moussés dans le moule et qui font preuve de bonnes qualités, notamment pour l'assemblage par fusion, la stabilité des dimensions, et dans certains cas un bel aspect, ce qui fait qu'il convient pour les pièces industrielles et d'automobile et analogues.
