This invention concerns a procedure for producing a ferritic type of stainless steel with improved corrosion resistance, in particular intergranualar corrosion and pitting corrosion. The steel, which is produced as a slab, has the following composition by weight: 18% < chromium < 27% 1% < molybdenum < 3% 1% < nickel < 3% manganese < 1% silicon < 1% carbon < 0.030% nitrogen < 0.030% 0.075% < titanium < 0.20% 0.20% < niobium < 0.50% sulphur < 0.01% phosphorous < 0.1%, the rest being iron and impurities resulting from fusion of the materials required for production. In an initial stage, the steel is cooled at a rate ranging from 400 degrees C to 600 degrees C/hour until a temperature of 900 degrees C, then, in a second phase, it is cooled rapidly at a rate of between 1200 degrees C and 1400 degrees C/hour.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'élaboration d'un acier inoxydable ferritique présentant une résistance à la corrosion améliorée, et notamment une résistance à la corrosion inter granulaire et à la corrosion par piqûre. L'acier, élaboré sous forme de brame, contient dans sa composition pondérale: 18% < chrome< 27% 1%< molybdène < 3% 1%< nickel < 3% manganèse < 1% silicium < 1% carbone < 0,030% azote < 0,030% 0,075% < titane < 0,20% 0,20% < niobium < 0,50% soufre < 0,01 % phosphore < 0,1 % le reste étant du fer et des impuretés résultant de la fusion des matières nécessaires à l'élaboration, est soumis, dans une première phase, à un refroidissement à la vitesse comprise entre 400°C et 600°C /heure jusqu'à la température de 900°C, puis, dans une seconde phase, à un refroidissement rapide à une vitesse comprise entre 1200°C et 1400°C/H.
