In a process for producing a high-temperature superconductor and moldings formed therefrom, comprising oxides of bismuth, strontium, calcium, copper and optionally of lead as well as sulfates of strontium and/or barium, the oxides of bismuth, strontium, calcium, copper and optionally of lead in the desired molar ratio, as well as additionally from 2 to 30% by weight of strontium sulfate and/or from 1 to 20% by weight of barium sulfate, each calculated according to the mixture of the oxides, are mixed intimately, the mixture is melted in a crucible of a platinum metal at temperatures from 870 to 1600°C, the melt is poured into permanent molds of desired form and size and is allowed to solidify slowly therein, and the moldings produced are freed from the permanent mold material and are annealed for from 6 to 200 hours at temperatures from 700 to 900°C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere.

Dans un procédé pour l'obtention d'un supraconducteur haute température et de moulages formés à partir de celui-ci, à base d'oxydes de bismuth, de strontium, de calcium, de cuivre et, facultativement, de plomb, ainsi que de sulfates de strontium et (ou) de baryum, ces oxydes sont mélangés intimement dans le rapport molaire recherché, avec 2 à 30 % en poids de sulfate de strontium et (ou) 1 à 20 % en poids de sulfate de baryum, chaque teneur étant calculée en fonction du mélange d'oxydes; le mélange est fondu dans un creuset de platine à une température de 870 à 1600 degrés C; le produit fondu est versé dans des moules de forme et de taille voulues, où on le laisse se solidifier lentement; le produit moulé est séparé du moule et est rccuit pendant 6 à 200 heures à une température de 700 à 900 degrés C dans une atmosphère renfermant de l'oxygène.
