A process of making a metal aluminate catalyst support by incorporating, preferably impregnating, alumina, preferably gamma alumina, with a metal component to thereby provide a metal-incorporated alumina which is then calcined under a calcining condition to thereby provide a metal aluminate catalyst support. Such calcining condition includes a temperature in the range of from about 600 ~C to about 1350 ~C. Preferably the metal component has been melted under a melting condition to thereby provide a melted metal component.

L'invention concerne un procédé relatif à l'élaboration d'un support de catalyseur en aluminate de métal par incorporation, et de préférence par imprégnation, d'alumine, de préférence d'alumine gamma, avec un composant métallique, pour donner une alumine à métal incorporé ensuite calcinée, donnant finalement le support de catalyseur en aluminate de métal. La calcination intervient dans une gamme de températures comprise entre environ 600 ·C et environ 1350 ·C. De préférence, le métal est fondu pour donner un composant métallique fondu.
