Title of The Invention Process for producing a neutral paper Abstract of The Invention This invention provides a process capable of obtaining a sufficiently higher retention of fiber and filler and simultaneously an improved drainage in neutral paper-making system, especially in the neutral wood containing paper- making system which contains a large majority or high yield pulp. This invention relates to a process for producing a neutral paper which comprises adding a cationized starch, bentonite, and colloidal silica to a stock slurry consisting of filler and the pulp-stuff containing a high yield pulp in an amount ranging from zero to 100 weight percents to make paper in a neutral pH range.
