A process for producing a steel cord for pneumatic tyres with a bunch of wires, the core of which consists of wire filaments (10) arranged in a bunch parallel and adjacent to one another. There are advantageously at least three wire filaments (10, 20), where at least two wire filaments (10) are spirally wound as filaments (10) forming a core (60) and run parallel and beside each other and at least one wire filament is spirally wound around the two core filaments (10) as the wrapping wire (20). According to the invention, the spiral deformation of the wire filaments (10) is obtained by false twisters (40). This spiral deformation of the wire filaments (10) especially prevents migration of the filaments from the cord composite. It is an advantage if residual torsional stresses between the core filaments and in connection with the restoring forces of the wrapping wire are relieved. The steel cord also advantageously has a flattened, especially oval, shape.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un câble d'acier pour bandages pneumatiques composé d'un faisceau de fils dont l'âme est constituée de filaments (10) disposés parallèlement pour former un toron. Au moins trois filaments (10,20) constituent une solution avantageuse, sachant qu'au moins deux filaments (10) spiralés formant une âme (60) sont disposés parallèlement l'un contre l'autre, et au moins un filament enveloppant (20) est entouré par spirales autour des deux filaments d'âme (10). Selon l'invention, la déformation spiralée des filaments (10) est obtenue par un dispositif de fausse torsion. Cette déformation spiralée des filaments (10) empêche que les filaments ne s'échappent du câble. Il est avantageux que les tensions résiduelles de torsion des filaments d'âme entre eux et en liaison avec les forces de rétablissement du fil enveloppant soient supprimées. En outre, le câble présente avantageusement une forme aplatie, notamment ovale.
