ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE According to the present application an injection of nicardipine hydrochloride and process for producing the same are possible. The injection has cerebral vascular dilater activity, a coronary dilater activity and an anti-hypertension activity. The injection comprises an aqueous nicardipine hydrochloride solution containing 2 to 7 W/V % of a polyhydric alcohol. The nicardipine hydrochloride and the polyhydric alcohol are dissolved in water and preferably the pH of the injection is adjusted to be in the range of 2.5 to 5Ø Prior to the present invention a stable injection containing nicardipine hydrochloride was not possible and only oral administered formulations were used.
