ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An anti-foaming agent is produced by mixing organosil- oxane polymers with a micronized alkalized silica and this mix- ture is homogenized, heated and then homogenized once more. The anti-foaming agent may be used in the varnish industry, in paper making and size production, in surface defoaming of mineral oils, in detergent formulae, in steam boilers when boiling bitumens, in the processing of colour printing pastes and, for example, in the production of amino acids.
