A process for the simultaneous or sequential production in the same reaction zone of two or more dicarboxylic acids selected from orthophthalic acid, isophthalic acid and terephthalic acid comprising contacting simultaneously or sequentially in the presence of a catalyst, one or more precursors of each of at least two dicarboxylic acids selected from orthophthalic acid, terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid with an oxidant, such contact being effected with said precursors and the oxidant in an aqueous solvent comprising water under supercritical conditions or near supercritical conditions close to the supercritical point is disclosed. In preferred embodiments, the process is for the simultaneous or sequential production in the same reaction zone of orthophthalic acid, terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid.
La présente invention a trait à un procédé pour la production simultanée ou séquentielle dans la même zone de réaction d'au moins deux acides carboxyliques choisis parmi l'acide orthophtalique, l'acide isophtalique et l'acide téréphtalique comprenant la mise en contact simultanée ou séquentielle en présence d'un catalyseur un ou des précurseurs de chacun desdits au moins deux acides dicarboxyliques choisis parmi l'acide orthophtalique, l'acide téréphtalique et l'acide isophtalique avec un oxydant, une telle mise en contact étant effectuée avec lesdits précurseurs et l'oxydant dans un solvant aqueux comprenant de l'eau dans des conditions supercritiques ou quasi-supercritiques proche du point supercritique. Dans des modes de réalisation préférés, le procédé est destiné à la production simultanée ou séquentielle dans la même zone de réaction de l'acide orthophtalique, l'acide téréphtalique et l'acide isophtalique.
