ABSTRACT A device and apparatus for producing burr-free workpieces by fine counterblanking from a blanking strip, sheet bar, coil material or the like, which is clamped between an upper and a lower blanking die and between an upper and lower punch; blanking is effected by cooperation of an upper and a lower punch, wherein a machine drive with a lifting force (F) for a unit comprising a blanking die and a punch is provided, and both the blanking die and the punch, and another blanking die and punch, are subjected to pressures F2, F4 and F1, F3, respectively.
