A cellulosic material is oxidized with an oxidizing agent in the presence of (1) an N- oxyl compound and (2) a bromide, an iodide or a mixture thereof. The resulting material is subjected to defibration and dispersion treatment to prepare a cellulose nanofiber dispersion liquid. The dispersion liquid thus obtained is acidified so that the cellulose nanofibers are aggregated to form a gelatinous substance. Ultimately, the gelatinous substance is treated mechanically to obtain a cellulose gel dispersion liquid which has low water absorbency and does not tend to swell.

La présente invention concerne une dispersion de gel de cellulose qui a une faible capacité d'absorption d'eau et est moins susceptible de gonfler, qui peut être produite par : oxydation d'une matière première de cellulose avec un agent oxydant en présence de (1) un composé N-oxyle et (2) un bromure, un iodure ou un mélange de ceux-ci ; défibrage et dispersion de la matière première résultante pour préparer une dispersion de nanofibres de cellulose ; préparation de la dispersion de manière à la rendre acide pour causer l'agrégation de nanofibres de cellulose, de manière à former une substance gélifiée ; et finalement pulvérisation de la substance gélifiée.
