A process for producing high-purity crystals which comprises using a polar solvent as a good solvent (e.g., an alcohol or an alcohol/water mixed solvent) and water as a poor solvent to crystallize the benzenesulfonamide derivative represented by the following formula (1); novel crystals of the nitrobenzenesulfonamide derivative represented by the following formula (2), which is an intermediate for the derivative (1); and a process for producing the novel crystals.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de cristaux présentant un degré de pureté élevé. Ce procédé fait appel à un solvant polaire en tant que solvant puissant (par ex. un solvant de type alcool ou un solvant constitué d'un mélange alcool/eau) et à de l'eau en tant que solvant faible, pour cristalliser le dérivé de benzènesulfonamide représenté par la formule (1). L'invention se rapporte également aux nouveaux cristaux du dérivé de benzènesulfonamide représenté par la formule (2), qui est un produit intermédiaire du dérivé représenté par la formule (1).
