A process for producing diacetoxybutene comprising reaction of butadiene, acetic acid, and molecular oxygen under pressure in the presence of a noble metal catalyst in a reactor. In the process, a previously prepared mixed liquid comprising butadiene and acetic acid, and having a butadiene concentration of 2 to 10% by weight, is mixed with molecular oxygen, and the resulting mixture is pressurized and then fed to the reactor.

Méthode pour préparer du diacétoxybutène, consistant à faire réagir le butadiène, l'acide acétique et l'oxygène moléculaire, sous pression et en présence d'un métal précieux, à l'intérieur d'un réacteur. Dans le procédé, on mélange un liquide préparé préalablement et renfermant du butadiène et de l'acide acétique, pour une concentration de butadiène de 2 à 10 % en poids, avec de l'oxygène moléculaire; le mélange résultant est mis sous pression et introduit dans le réacteur.
