The present invention is directed to a process for producing difluoromethane and difluorochloromethane. The process comprises fluorinating dichloromethane and trichloromethane with hydrogen fluoride in a liquid phase in the presence of a catalyst in one reaction apparatus under the conditions that a reaction pressure is from 1 to 20 kg/cm2 and a reaction temperature is from 50°C to 150°C. With this process the difluoromethane and difluorochloromethane can be simultaneously or alternatively produced in an economical/safe manner in one reaction apparatus.

Un procédé permet de produire du difluorométhane et du difluorochlorométhane en fluorurant du dichlorométhane et du trichlorométhane avec du fluorure d'hydrogène en phase liquide, en présence d'un catalyseur de fluorination, dans un seul et unique réacteur, à une pression de réaction allant de 1 à 20 Kg/cm<2> et à une température de réaction de 50 à 150 DEG C. On peut ainsi produire dans un seul réacteur, de façon simultanée ou alternée, du difluorométhane et du difluorochlométhane, dans de bonnes conditions de sécurité et d'économie.
